30 youth leaders from all five provinces of Pakistan brought together at Mehergarh Training Center for a nine-day Advanced Leadership Training on Strengthening Democracy and Promoting Pluralism by Countering Militancy. The training invited renowned resource persons including Dr. Fouzia Saeed, Dr. Khadim Hussain, Dr. Kamran Ahmed, Maliha Hussain, Amir Rana, Zafarullah Khan and Muhammad Shaan to share their experiences so that ideals of democracy, inter-faith harmony, and gender equality can be induced among the young leaders in order to create a true democratic society. The concluding Ceremony of the training was also a tribute to Aitzaz Ahsan for his 14 year pro-bono support in Mukhatar Mai’s rape case.
