In mid-March 2024, Mehergarh announced a nine-day residential training program scheduled for April 20th to 28th, 2024. The selection process, which required at least two months to identify the right participants, began immediately. The announcement was shared on Mehergarh’s social media pages, with previous graduates, and in various groups to ensure a diverse pool of applicants.
Youth leaders from across Pakistan were encouraged to apply by responding to questions in the announcement flyer. The overwhelming response featured many strong candidates, making the selection process very challenging. After a thorough evaluation, Mehergarh decided to accommodate 33 participants.
